EyeSpySupply / LookCam App Quick Start Guide
**This quick start guide should be used in conjunction with the product’s main user manual (if supplied). **
Let’s get started. First download the free app “LookCam” to your phone, tablet or computer (app can be found in Google Play or the App Store simply search for “LookCam”).
The following instructions will show how to set up the camera using an Android smart phone but should be the same or similar on other devices.
How To Setup the App and connect to Wi-Fi for Remote Viewing
- If desired insert SD card into SD car slot. Then connect the camera to the battery or power supply (whichever applies) and turn the camera on if needed and wait for around one minute.
- Now in your phone’s settings go to Wi-Fi and find the camera in the list of Wi-Fi connections (it will be a long series of letters and numbers that correspond with the number on the camera the QR code sticker (If there is one), (Usually starting with A or F) and click on it to connect. It should connect with no internet.
- Now open the “LookCam” app. If it has not already appeared, click on the search icon in the top right-hand corner of the app (the plus sign). The camera should then be listed. Click the “Add by Lan” button and select the camera with the matching QR Code (There should only be one listed).
- Now click the settings icon that looks like a gear wheel and click “Wi-Fi Setting”. Now choose your Wi-Fi network (This camera requires a 2G Wi-Fi connection, 5G will not work. Most routers that are 5G are dual network and put out 2G simultaneously) and enter the password for the network and click “ok” in the upper right-hand corner. The camera will now be rebooted. This may take 2-3 minutes. You are now finished with the Wi-Fi setup. Now close the LookCam app.
- Next go to your phone’s Wi-Fi settings and connect to your local network and then reopen the “LookCam” app. Now click on the camera to view it.
How To View Your Camera Live
- From the main screen of the app find your camera and click on it.
TIP: If the live view does not appear try closing the app. and reopening it.
TIP: If while streaming live video it seems to be “choppy” or gets “hung up” try lowering the resolution (on the top right-hand corner when viewing). This may fix the problem. This is due to the internet/wifi speed/signal strength and is not a problem with the camera.
How To Set the Date and Time (The date and time should sync automatically. If it does not try the steps below)
- From the main screen of the app click the “settings” icon next to your camera. Next click the “Sinc Mobile Time”
This should sync the time.
How to Setup SD Card Recording (recording to an SD card)
- From the main screen of the app click the “settings” icon next to your camera. Next click the “SD Card Setting”. From there you can change the settings to your liking.
- To record continuously (not motion activated) check the box that says, “Auto Record”.
- To record in motion activated mode follow step 1 above. Now check the box for “Alarm recording”. Motion Activation is now on. Be sure to turn off “Auto Record” if you only want motion detection.
- You can also change the resolution, turn loop recording on/off, record audio on/off, and video duration (size of each video file).

- To delete files simply right click the desired file and click delete.
***When disconnecting the reader from your computer be sure to properly “eject” per your computers operating instructions. Failure to do so may result in damage to or corrupting the files on the SD card.***
TIP: We recommend using a VLC media player for playback of your recordings on a computer. If you do not have one you can download one for free here http://www.videolan.org/vlc
TIP: We recommend that you explore the features of the app. There are other features not covered in the guide that you may find useful. There are also some that may not apply to this model of camera. For example, there are controls for night vision which is not a feature that all cameras have.
**MAC users may need to download a VLC player to view files on a Mac computer**
